What you take from the day
- Understanding. Know what the tools can do, where they fail, and when to check their answers.
- Practice. Work through examples that relate to your team's job, with guidance as they try.
- A way forward. Leave with exercises and next steps to keep learning after the session.
How it is scoped
- Start with a free call about the people you want to train and the change you want to see.
- We discuss their experience, daily work and available tools.
- I propose the format, exercises and preparation. We agree scope and timing before training begins.
I've spent three years teaching programming and helped more than 300 people learn to code. I also lead AI workshops and speak about the practical experience of building with AI. We can discuss a team session, a developer workshop or individual guidance.
Examples of what we can cover
We choose topics that fit your people. For developer teams, these can include:
- Building software with AI. Plan the work, write code with AI assistance, review it and test it before real users depend on it.
- Giving AI the right context. Organise project information and instructions so the tools understand the work and the next person can continue it.
- Checking AI-written code. Find weaknesses ordinary tests can miss, including unsafe access and mistakes in stored data.
- AI agents in real systems. Connect workflows and information, understand failures and keep track of cost and quality.
- Choosing AI tools. Compare answers, speed and cost on the same task to see what actually works for your team.
The examples come from work I have done. We discuss your team's tools and access in advance so participants can follow along and practise.
What participants said about the training
An in-person full-day developer workshop received 4.92 out of 5 from 24 survey responses. Twenty-two respondents gave a five; none gave below four.
The survey summary highlights real examples and problem-solving, alongside a motivational, approachable teaching style that was easy to follow. These are summary themes, not individual testimonials.
Structure scored 4.96, hands-on work 4.75, and confidence using AI tools 4.63. Follow-up practice matters: a single day introduces skills that people continue developing in their own work.
A separate live online AI workshop reached 170 people, with entirely positive feedback received.
